I wait twenty minutes before slipping out of my room and heading back the way Heinrich led me. I pause around the corner from her room when I see her mother leaving it. She and Charlotte embrace and talk softly before her mom leaves. When she’s out of sight, I rap my knuckles on the door.

“Mum!” Charlotte groans as she swings the door open. “I told you, I would never involve myself like that with a boy like—”

She gasps, jumping back with hand flying to her mouth as she realizes it’s me.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” she mutters.

“With a boy like who, exactly?” I smile.

She glares at me. “Like you.”

“Like me, or—”

“Specifically you.”

“And yet, I think you’ve… what’s the word you used? Involve?” I smile hungrily. “I think you’ve involved yourself with me a number of times now.”

“Not by choice,” she hisses.

“I didn’t hear any protest.”

Charlotte glares at me, crossing her arms over the sleep-shirt she’s changed into.

“It seems we’re in different bedrooms.”

She smiles thinly. “Yes, because my mother can smell a shark a mile away.”

“What about your cum on my fingers?”

Her eyes bulge as her face darkens with heat.

“What are you doing here, Misha?”

I smile, and she blushes and trembles.

“I’m going to bed.”

“Not yet you aren’t,” I growl.

She smirks at me. “Aww, is someone still all pent up from the plane?”

“Yes, I am,” I grunt.

“Well, I guess you’d better go take care of that.”

My mouth thins. “I told you, when I—”

Her gaze suddenly snaps past me as she gasps. “Your highness!”

I whirl. My eyes focus on… nothing.

Charlotte’s bedroom door slams and locks behind me.

“Say hi to your hand for me, Misha.”
